Short Version: Piper is on a mission. If he thinks you can help him in his mission then he may start talking with you. If you interfere to much then there is a high chance that you will die.
Long Version: Piper always repays a debt. If a character helps him in some way they, in turn, can ask for some help in a problem (along as it doesn't prevent him from completing his mission).
GM Notes: Piper was originally a member of the SAS on Earth with all the skills that implies. He has been subjected to a machine that repaired genetic abnormalities within has body which also activated many dormant gene's.

His mission (which has so far lasted over a year) is to prevent a God from awakening before it's time which might cause a 'War of the Gods' which in turn may awaken the 'Sleepers' which would destroy the Universe as we know it. He has a LOT on his mind.
Other Notes: Piper is a sucker for a pretty face and would be more inclined to help a female in distress than anyone else.

Pipers bio-suit flows over him like oil at will. This can protect him from the elements including masking his scent, heat etc.
