Plot Hook (Optional)
The heroes encounter a young woman who is being threatened and kidnapped by "the bad guys". The setting can be "on the street", or they can be taking her from her "fathers" house. She seems capable, but seems unable to hurt any of them (dodging, pushing them away, avoiding being shot). Heroes hopefully intervene.
Note: Players may have met her before the incident at a public place, or introduced to her by her father, or she may just be a random stranger.
Central Plot (Optional)
Her Father is an eccentric researcher and is currently quite dead (obviously the bad guys). If the Heroes get involved with her, they will end up protecting her from all the various organizations and threats who want her for their own purposes. Initially, they will think it is because of the knowledge she might possess of the old man. Eventually, they will figure out her unusual nature. This may make them more or less inclined to help her.
If this continues on for a while, she will get involved with other people who need help. This will eventually bring the heroes in contact with them.
Plot Denouement/Wrap-Up (Optional)
Conclusion? There are hundreds of them. In most campaigns, Heart becomes a very likable NPC, a great plot hook, and a serious story arc. Players will need to wrangle with moral questions about the nature of "people". Note: If they aren’t going to help her, throw the supernatural connection in and let them find out she has a soul, just like them.
Plot Notes (Optional)
